EAVO is now in its third year of providing High School education for students who would otherwise be unable to continue their education, as the village school stops at the eighth grade. Our program provides shelter, basics, and mentoring. Parents send food weekly via donkey, foot, or bus.
We have hired an evangelist to mentor and work with the students. We also rented a building which serves not only our students, but the community children as well. We have 74 enrolled here--20% are girls, a rare opportunity for them.
This is our first year in Tulo Bolo. 18 students passed their exams to qualify. Three chose to attend the Teacher Training Institute. We will need to expand to the twelfth grade next year. These are motivated students and have had a high success rate.
